Daily update is a report or summary of events, progress, or changes that happen on a daily basis. Teams typically provide daily updates on project developments during morning meetings.
When used well, daily standups help everyone understand where they are in the project timeline and get multiple eyes on obstacles to progress. When team members identify blockers early in the process, they can work to solve them before they escalate into more significant problems that halt momentum. These conversations can also help team members bond over shared jokes and experiences.
To enable this feature, configure one of your Action’s intents as the triggering intent for daily updates and add a daily update registration prompt. You can display this prompt mid-conversation or as a suggestion chip when the user exits your Action successfully. When users invoke this intent, your Action should open a conversation that asks them to enter their daily update, which you can personalize by adding custom parameters when they register.
At the scheduled time each day, Google Assistant sends users an Assistant notification to remind them to complete their daily update. When they tap on the notification, your Action fulfills the daily update intent and closes the conversation.
